As most of you must have heard Joannie Rochette , one of Olympics favorites to step on the podium lost her mother so suddenly last sunday to a heart attack. Her mother was with her in Vancouver and through all that Joannie ( with the strenght of a bull) decided to still go on with the competition.
Last night was short programm and she did AMAZING ! such a heart felt support from the crowd in Vancouver as she burst out into tears at the end of her program. She looked at peace and ready for life's challenges and we Canadians wish her the podium , even if she doesn't get GOLD or any medals. We Canadians are still proud of her accomplishements and triumph through all this
And her mother is still routing for her from up there !
