Day 7 -THE OLYMPICS

I must say that after watching the Opening Ceremonies of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, i feel pretty proud to be Canadian. What a wonderful, magical night it must have been for all these athletes. WOW a chance of a lifetime.
Unfortunatly that chance for Bronze, Silver or Gold was put to a deadly stop for Georgian lugger Nodar Kumaritashvili who died when he came off his sled during a practise run. It happened just hours before the games opened. My heart goes out to that team and what they must be going through. Happy to hear that they will still participate in honour of their team mate.

I'm lucky enough to have friends in Vancouver who were at the opening ceremonies and sent over some pictures for me to share with you.

Of course there is a sport that a true Canadian HAS to favor .....have you guessed?

Enjoy the games , may they be safe and full of joy and may Canada get more then 24 medals !!!

Havea  great day
